THE SAME DIFFERENCE

Are the things that make you feel different the same that make you different?
If so, you are one of the lucky ones. You see, unfortunately, most of us are not perceived by our fellow mates as we see ourselves, or worst, as we would like others to perceive us
Now what I mean is, we are all the same, and we are all singular. However, we are not ready to admit this fact. Due to social conventionalism or education or maybe our ancestral predatory brain by custom tends to classify in a thousand of a second all individuals that surround it.
Gay: whispers your neurones  when they see someone with a suit and tie, with the crew cut, without even knowing the colour of his hair. Dangerous: they  will whisper after a quick hand gesture, because of the colour of skin (black). Some neurones will tell a man possession at simple glance of a woman and so on. Endless qualifications which put at ease our insecurities.
But the worst of this all, is that first impression is condition at birth which makes all of this so much more. Comfortable, to judge without analysing living within a pre-classification done by others resulting in what we would never want to live by.
Therefore, if this is as so, why can't be more courageous, more tolerant and more daring?
We could start by wearing the clothes we like so much, for example, the clothes we are afraid to wear because of others perceptions towards us.What about reading, about different religions or reading a true story of abuse for being different, for not using violence as a tool for discussion and what if we could break down the walls we built around handicapped people, around difference, what if...we put again in our windows the Crhistmas lights on april 29.
